Empowering the planet begins with conscious choices. At SWAN, we exist to challenge wasteful systems and reimagine how materials move through the world.
Every year, vast quantities of high-quality hotel linens are discarded despite having years of life left in them. We intercept these textiles before they reach landfills and transform them through circular design practices that honor the resources already invested — water, energy, materials, and labor.
Our approach is rooted in slow fashion. We prioritize durability, repairability, and thoughtful design over mass production and disposability. By creating slowly and intentionally, we reduce environmental harm while encouraging deeper respect for the things we use every day.
Beyond making products, we actively engage in environmental education through partnerships with organizations that share our mission. Through workshops, talks, and outreach programs, we raise awareness about textile waste, circular systems, and responsible consumption. These collaborative efforts empower individuals and communities to make planet-centered choices long after the workshop ends.
Empowering the planet is not about perfection — it is about progress, accountability, and care. With every reclaimed fabric and every shared conversation, we take a step toward a healthier, more balanced world.
